There are no ads in MathOY, and we never sell your family's data. To learn which of our ads bring parents, Meta's Pixel runs on three grown-up pages only (the home page, pricing and membership), never in the games or the demo, and with your consent where the law asks for it. You can say no, or change your mind, under "Ad cookies" at the bottom of the page.
What we store
An account for the grown-up who signs up: the email address and login, kept by Clerk, our login provider. The child's progress on the site: which games were played, how many stars were earned, the chosen character and the chosen language.
We do not ask for the child's name, age, photo or anything else about them. There are no ads in MathOY, and nothing about the child is used to measure our ads (see "Measuring our ads").
Payments
Payments are taken by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your name, location, contact details and billing information to process the order, issue receipts and handle refunds; we do not see your card details. Paddle's privacy policy (paddle.com/legal/privacy) describes what it does with that data.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your data or your child's data, and we show no ads. The subscription is the only way MathOY makes money. The one thing we share for our own ads is described under "Measuring our ads".
Measuring our ads
We advertise MathOY on Meta (Facebook, Instagram). To learn which ads bring parents, Meta's Pixel runs on three pages for grown-ups only: the home page, the pricing page and the membership page. It does not run in the games, the demo, the island or any other page a child uses, and nothing is sent from them.
From those three pages Meta receives page views, a tap on "Try a demo", a new account, the opening of the checkout, and Meta's own cookies (_fbp, and _fbc after an ad click). When a first payment is made after such a visit, our server tells Meta once that a purchase happened, with its price and your email address hashed (SHA-256, so Meta can match it but it is not sent in readable form).
Where the law asks for consent (the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), none of this happens unless you press "Accept". You can decline, or withdraw later, under "Ad cookies" at the bottom of any page, and you can manage ads in your Meta account's ad settings.
Your rights
To see, correct or delete what is stored about your family, write to mathoy.support@gmail.com. Deleting the account deletes the child's progress with it.
